The need for the horse and rider to both be committed and working together to excel speaks to me. This is my favourite Rodeo event by far...

So who was William Saroyan? Wikipedia says he was an American novelist, playwright, and short story writer. He was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for Drama in 1940, and in 1943 won the Academy Award for Best Story for the film adaptation of his novel The Human Comedy. I do not know what makes him an authority on the worth of the endeavours of Mankind, and specifically the Bicycle. I do, however, like his sentiment. 

I have had an ongoing love affair with bicycles for most of my life, and I will endeavour to share this with you through my Photo Blog.

I live right close to Fish Creek Park, and I spend a lot of time on my bicycle in this glorious environment. 

This photograph was taken while riding a trail a little South of Woodbine, calm and serenity occasionally, and briefly interrupted by fellow cyclists and the occasional footbound adventurer.

I aim to take photographs of actual bicycles and their glorious pilots and post them here to share.

Out and about on Wednesday September 20, 2017.

Lonely day out for a ride, shared, very occasionally, by people out walking their dogs. Mostly it was Mother Nature and I.

I did meet this young fellow and we shared the trail for a brief moment.

Then, unlike me, constrained to the trail, he went forth and forged his own way.  

The places you can go, sometimes to the end of the road. This bicycle is all the way from Salamanca in Spain..

And here I am, taking my commuter to a trail.
